How smart meters work
Electricity consumption is measured in approximate real time every 15 minutes. The smart meter gateway (the communication unit) automatically and electronically transmits your encrypted consumption data from the meter to the internet. Our database securely records your electricity consumption and presents it visually in the portal.
The smart meter’s data is presented clearly and simply on the portal. One further advantage is that you can also use your smartphone or computer to view your electricity bill on the portal whenever and wherever it suits you.
